Functional Healthcare of Omaha
Educational Event Series
Real Conversations. Expert Answers. Better Health.
The Functional Healthcare of Omaha Educational Event Series was created to give our community a comfortable place to learn, ask questions, and better understand their health and wellness options.
Throughout the year, our providers will host complimentary educational events covering topics such as women’s and men’s health, pelvic health, hormones, weight management, skin health, laser hair removal, body treatments, injectables, and more.
Each event focuses on helping you understand what may be changing, why it happens, and what options are available today. Depending on the topic, events may include provider presentations, live demonstrations, Q&A, one-on-one conversations, refreshments, and event-only opportunities.
You do not need to be a current patient, and there is no obligation to receive treatment. Come to learn, ask questions, and leave better informed about your health and your options.
Explore our upcoming educational events below and reserve your seat. Events are complimentary, but seating is limited.
General FAQ’s
Is there a cost to attend?
No. Every workshop in the series is complimentary. Registration is required because seating is limited and we keep the groups small on purpose, so there is time for real conversation.
Do I need to be a patient at Functional Healthcare of Omaha?
No. Our workshops are open to the community. Many of the people who attend have never been to our office before.
Do I need to know what I want, or have a specific concern?
Not at all. Most people come to understand their options before deciding whether they want to do anything. Coming to learn first is the point.
How do I register?
Through the registration link on each event’s page. It takes about thirty seconds. You can also call the office at 402-997-0772 and we’ll register you over the phone.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes, and we’d encourage it. Most people come with a friend, a partner, or a family member. Please register each guest separately so we can plan seating, refreshments, and welcome gifts.
What if I register and then can't make it?
Just let us know. Call 402-997-0772 or reply to your confirmation email. We usually have a waitlist, and telling us means someone else can have your seat.
Are the workshops only for women?
No. Several of our workshops are specifically for men, and most are open to everyone. Each event page states who it is designed for.
Where are the workshops held?
Where do I park?
There is a general parking lot on site, free to use, with no permit or validation needed. Park anywhere in the lot and come in through the main entrance. Accessible parking is available close to the entrance.
What time should I arrive?
Doors open fifteen minutes before the start time. Arriving a few minutes early gives you time to check in, get a refreshment, and be seated before we begin.
How long do the workshops run?
Two hours, including time for questions and one-on-one conversations afterward. You’re welcome to leave earlier if you need to.
What should I wear?
Whatever you’re comfortable in. These are educational events, not appointments.
Is the office accessible?
Yes. Our office is ADA accessible, with accessible parking near the entrance, step-free access into the building, and accessible restrooms. If you need any other accommodation to attend comfortably, call us at 402-997-0772 before the event and we will arrange it. You do not need to explain why.
What's the format?
A presentation from our provider team, time for questions, light refreshments, and the opportunity to speak privately with a provider afterward. Some events also include a live treatment demonstration — the event page will say if it does.
Will I have to talk about my health in front of everyone?
No. You will never be asked to share anything personal with the group. At most of our workshops we also provide anonymous question cards, so you can ask something without saying it out loud or attaching your name to it. We read those and answer them.
Will I receive treatment at the workshop?
No. Our workshops are educational, and any treatment requires an individual assessment first. Where an event includes a live demonstration, that is performed on one volunteer who has been evaluated and consented in advance.
Will I be expected to buy something?
No. There is no obligation to purchase or schedule anything. Some events include special pricing available that evening, but plenty of people come simply to learn and leave without booking, and that is a perfectly good outcome.
Are there event specials?
At most events, yes — registered attendees have access to pricing available that evening. Details are shared at the event rather than published in advance.
Will I get to ask my own questions?
Yes. There is time for questions during the presentation, and our providers stay afterward for anyone who would rather ask something one-on-one.
Is a provider actually presenting, or is it a sales talk?
A provider presents. The people answering your questions are the same people who would be treating you, which is deliberate — it’s the only way the evening is worth your time.
Will there be photography?
It depends on the event. At some workshops we take photographs for our website and social media, and if so we’ll tell you at check-in and you can decline. At others — particularly those covering more private health topics — we don’t photograph guests at all.
If you’d prefer not to appear in any photograph, tell us and we simply won’t include you. You never need to give a reason.
Is what I say at the workshop confidential?
Anything you discuss privately with a provider is treated the same way as a conversation in our office. We also ask everyone attending to respect the privacy of the other people in the room.
Will you add me to a mailing list?
Registering tells us where to send your confirmation, your reminder, and details about the event. We may let you know about future workshops, and you can unsubscribe at any point.
What if I want to take things further?
Speak with a provider on the night, or call us afterward. The next step is usually a consultation, where a provider can look at your situation properly and make a recommendation.
Am I committing to anything by having a consultation?
No. A consultation is where you find out whether there’s anything worth doing — including finding out that there isn’t.
What if the workshop tells me this isn't right for me?
Then it was a useful evening. Not every treatment suits every person, and a good portion of what our providers cover is who a given approach does and doesn’t suit. We would rather you leave knowing that than spend money finding out later.
Will there be more workshops?
Yes. We run these throughout the year on different topics. All upcoming events are listed on this page, and you can register for any of them.
Our workshops are educational. Nothing presented is a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a substitute for individual medical care. Whether any treatment is appropriate for you depends on your history, your examination, and a conversation with a provider. Individual results vary, and some patients notice no measurable change. Attending a workshop does not establish a provider-patient relationship.
